Challenge court on steroids? Yes. The most entertaining format pickleball has seen? Yes. Change your life? Probably not, but let's find out anyway.

Each week, 12 combatants enter the court surface, only one will exit as the Iron Hammer. There will be honorable mentions and bragging rights. This is the Anvil Series key qualifier. At the end of the year we will hold a special tournament recognizing the best of the best from all our competitions throughout the year.

Iron Sharpens Iron is a weekly series where you battle it out against players at your level. It is a ladder battle moving courts in between rounds each week - not just week to week - but every round you play in. It is driven by DUPR to ensure competitive play, fair play, and round to round continuity.

Here is how it works:

• Over a 6-7 week period there are 10 rounds. You can play in as many or as few as you like. HOWEVER - to qualify for the final tournament at the end you must play in at least 6 of them.
• At the end of the 7 week period we will hold a cash game tournament - every contestant puts $20 into the pot for the final matches - win the cash!
• Each week is a 3 rounds of round robin play - quality matches, 2 of 3, to 11
• Combatants will be seeded by their DUPR score each week. If you miss a week or session - you are slotted by your DUPR score when you return.
• There are 3 rounds: (movement between courts is dictated by wins/losses/point diff)
• Win - the first round with starting court dictated by DUPR ratings
• Place - the second round dictated by results of the "Win" round
• Show - the final round dictated by results of the "Show" round
• This sets up the next week as well

Winner is crowned "Blade of the Week" and is entered into our year end tournament automatically.

NOTES:

• You MUST have a DUPR to play in this
• Upon signup - there is a box to enter your DUPR score - enter it in the required box
• This is NOT a set partner league
• If we exceed capacity, we will add from the waitlist in groups of 4
• NO SHOW PENALTY OF $15.00 - THIS HELPS US ENSURE QUALITY PLAY AND EVEN NUMBERS
• Should we not reach even numbers, we will take the bottom ranked 2 or 3 players and refund to club credit if we cannot fill the necessary spot
• For example, if we are at 10 players we will refund the bottom 2 players to club credit for the session to use in a future session
• Matches are self-governed
• You can only signup for the level where your DUPR rating falls
• If you "score up or down" out of the DUPR level, you will move to that level
